Key metrics

Consignor intelligence
Who you're really bidding against. Dark = the floor was still $0 when the car ran — a consignor habit, not a lane habit. A dark car is NOT automatically an IF: houses split into dark→sells, dark→IF-desk and dark→no-sale, and the split is stable across days. IF accept = accepted / (accepted + declined) among resolved IFs ("declined" = Market Guide never showed it sold). Names must be matched EXACTLY — sister companies with similar names behave differently.

IF playbook — floors, acceptance & the counter
IF playbook by distance from floor (measured, OpenLane)
What it means
Floor = seller's ask (cost-to-win), never the walk-away. Settle ×floor is the closing bid re-expressed in floor units — it is NOT a counter price. Acceptance and walk-ups are measured from resolved IFs, not asserted.
⠿
Model trust
By region — wholesale MAPE / bias
By condition grade (OpenLane OverallGrade)
MAPE = avg |error| of predicted wholesale vs actual. Bias > 0 = over-predicts. Trust the tool on clean cars ≥$10k; distrust it on rough/cheap ones.

Misses & buys
Biggest recent misses — cleared at or under your walk-away
Purchases vs market
Misses come from the decision ledger (passed / outbid where the car cleared ≤ recommended max). Purchase "vs market" = paid − blended comp median; negative = bought under market.

Market trends
Weekly market median — own + Market Guide, IQR shaded
Movers — 4-week median vs prior 4 weeks (n≥10 both)
Sell-through by weekday
Clearing by region
Weekly medians are mix-unadjusted — a cheap-heavy week reads low without the market moving. Movers require 10+ comps in both windows.
